1. Gradation – The material shall have 95 % of particles passing the 2 mm sieve with maximum allowable fine gravel not to exceed 5%. Sand particle distribution shall have the highest proportion in the medium to very fine range. The silt plus clay content shall be in the range of 10% with the variance between the silt and clay particles no greater than 3%.
2. Western Lassenite Pozzolan® - Shall be blended by use of a pug mill at the rate of 10% by volume. During blending water shall be added so that the final moisture content is in the range of 4%.
3. Placement – Premium Arena Mix shall be placed at a depth of 6 inches over a four inch base course. The base course shall be free draining such as decomposed granite that has a sand equivalent greater than 30. To ensure proper depth of placement the Premium Arena Mix shall be laser graded during installation.
